Fat transfer, also known as fat injections, fat augmentation, fat grafting, liposculpture or lipoinjection, is a process in which fat cells are removed from one part of the body and filled into another. This procedure is most commonly used to provide a patient’s face and hands with a more youthful appearance. Rejuvenation is accomplished by combining fat, rich in stem cells, with a proprietary cocktail of growth factors specifically tailored to improve the survival and longevity of the cells.
