Dr. Coad is a graduate of the Baylor
College of Medicine in Houston, Texas,
and interned at St. Vincent's Hospital
and Medical Center in New York City.
He completed his postgraduate training
in Ophthalmology at the New York Eye
and Ear Infirmary in New York City. Dr.
Coad completed his fellowship training
in international ophthalmology with ORBIS,
the only international flying eye institute.
ORBIS is based on board a jet fully equipped
with examination rooms and operating
facilities.
Dr. Coad is Board Certified by the American
Board of Ophthalmology and is a fellow of the
American College of Surgeons (F.A.C.S.). He
is on staff at St. Vincent's Hospital and the
New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. He continues to travel
the world exchanging ophthalmic skills as a
member of the ORBIS team and lectures throughout
the United States on the treatment of CMV Retinitis.
Dr. Coad has been certified to perform several
types of laser procedures including the VISX & Summit
lasers for correction of nearsightedness,
farsightedness, and astigmatism. In addition
to the thousands of ophthalmic surgeries
and laser procedures he has performed on
patients, he has performed laser vision correction
on his associate, Dr. Eviatar.
